Examples of concert programs available
“In the Footsteps of Joseph Joachim” - Western and Eastern European classics
The first half of the program includes Western European composers who inspired Joseph Joachim or were part of his circle of contemporaries and friends. Examples include Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann and Brahms.
The second half of the program honor’s Joachim’s Hungarian background, including pieces reflecting Eastern European. Examples include composers such as Bartok (Hungarian Rhapsody #1), Dvorak (Four Romantic Pieces), Dohnanyi, Hubay and Liszt
Beethoven and Schubert Year programs
In honor of the 100th Anniversaries of Beethoven’s death (2027) and Schubert’s death (2028), we are offering an all-Beethoven program or a Beethoven-Schubert program.
Examples of potential pieces by Beethoven include the Violin Sonatas #2, #4, #7 and #9 (Kreutzer)
Examples of potential pieces by Schubert include the Violin Sonata #3, #4 (Grand Duo) and the Rondo brillante
“From Vienna to Los Angeles”
The first half of the program includes Viennese Classic composers such as the Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert or Brahms.
The second half of the program includes composers from Vienna who were exiled to Los Angeles to escape Nazi Germany and the music that they found when they arrived.
